FTP Client for Windows: FTP, FTPS and SFTP in one app

Since version 1.5.2, NeoSSHWinManager is a full FTP client for Windows: connect over FTP, FTPS (explicit or implicit) or SFTP and browse the server in the built-in file browser – with passive mode, TLS encryption, progress-reporting transfers and automatic re-login. Free, open source, no adware in the installer.

One protocol field for everything

When you create a connection, pick SFTP, FTP or FTPS – the port is suggested automatically (22, 21 or 990) but can be overridden. SSH-only fields like the key file or drive letter are hidden automatically for FTP connections.

FTPS: explicit or implicit

Explicit TLS (AUTH TLS) negotiates encryption on the classic port 21; implicit TLS encrypts from the first byte on port 990. Both are natively supported, including optional certificate verification.

FAQ

Is NeoSSHWinManager an FTP manager or just an SSHFS tool?

Both. Since v1.5.2 the built-in file browser is a full FTP/FTPS/SFTP client – in addition to SSHFS drive mounting for SSH hosts.

Does NeoSSHWinManager support FTPS with implicit TLS?

Yes, both explicit TLS (AUTH TLS, port 21) and implicit TLS (port 990) are supported, selectable right in the connection profile.

Can I mount an FTP connection as a drive too?

No – drive mounts run over SSHFS and are reserved for SSH/SFTP hosts. FTP and FTPS connections open the built-in file browser instead, for browsing, uploading and downloading.

Do I still need FileZilla for plain FTP?

Not for most everyday tasks: browsing, uploading/downloading, renaming and deleting all work directly in NeoSSHWinManager's browser window – free, with nothing extra to install.
